Drone Delivery Canada to merge with drone systems operator Volatus Aerospace

M&A

  • Drone Delivery Canada (DDC), a Canada-based drone and logistics systems developer, has agreed to merge with Volatus Aerospace (Volatus), a Canada-based operator of piloted and remotely controlled drone systems. The new entity will continue as Volatus Aerospace Corp. and maintain the Drone Delivery Canada brand for cargo operations. The transaction is expected to close in Q3 2024, subject to customary closing conditions.

  • The merger is expected to achieve financial stability by the end of 2024 and accelerate profitability in 2025, benefiting from cost reductions and new revenue opportunities.

  • Drone Delivery Canada has developed proprietary technologies for remotely piloted drone operations, particularly cargo delivery. On the other hand, Volatus Aerospace Corp operates piloted and unmanned aerial systems for various applications across diverse domains.
