Peruvian Veef raises USD 320,000 in pre-seed funding to expand market presence

Funding

  • Peruvian Veef, a Peruvian producer of plant-based meat substitutes, has raised USD 320,000 in pre-seed funding, consisting of USD 280,000 from the Ahimsa Foundation and Sustainable Food Ventures and a USD 40,000 non-dilutive grant from ProInnovate Peru.

  • The funds will be used to expand its foodservice and retail presence in Peru and other Latin American markets, including Chile, Colombia, and Mexico.

  • Peruvian Veef, founded in 2020, offers a range of vegan products inspired by Latin American cuisine, including burgers, skewers, and a plant-based version of the traditional Peruvian anticuchos. The company has a significant presence in Peru, with its products available in over 70 stores, and aims to become Peru's top alternative protein provider by 2024.
