CarbiCrete partners with 3Degrees to verify emission reductions

Partnerships

  • CarbiCrete, a Canadian developer of low-cost building solutions using CO2, has partnered with 3Degrees, a renewable energy and carbon offset company.

  • Under the partnership, 3Degrees will quantify and verify the emission reductions generated by CarbiCrete’s technology. 3Degrees will also handle the sale of environmental attributes, helping to drive demand for carbon removal projects.

  • This collaboration will accelerate the deployment of CarbiCrete's technology and reduce carbon emissions. The current commercial projects using this technology are concentrated in Quebec, with future partnerships set to expand use to Ontario and France.

  • Analyst QuickTake: The company has also announced a partnership with Canal Block, a Canadian masonry company, to incorporate CarbiCrete's cement-free concrete technology into its manufacturing process in Port Colborne, Ontario, in January 2024 .
