PepsiCo partners with Tesla to deploy electric semi-trucks in California

Partnerships

  • PepsiCo Beverages North America has partnered with Tesla to include 50 Tesla electric semi-trucks in its California fleet, operating from its Fresno distribution and manufacturing facility. The company plans to roll out the trucks over the upcoming several months.

  • The partnership is part of PepsiCo’s goals to reach net-zero emissions by 2040.

  • Analyst Quick Take: In 2017 , PepsiCo placed an order for 100 Tesla semi-trucks and, to date, has deployed trucks to deliver Frito-Lay products in Modesto , California, and Pepsi products in Sacramento , California.
