NewMoo, an Israeli startup developing alternative dairy products, has emerged after three years in stealth mode. The company has developed a liquid casein base that claims to mimic the functionalities of cow's milk in traditional cheese production.
This new product leverages molecular farming technology to develop casein protein in soy plants. According to the company, this alternative casein is designed to be a cost-effective replacement that can be seamlessly integrated into existing manufacturing processes. Furthermore, despite involving genetic engineering processes, the final product is free from DNA residues, eliminating the need for a GMO label.
