Industry news

  • Singapore is increasing its investment in quantum technology by SGD 295 million (USD 220 million) over the next five years. This is in addition to the USD 400 million the National Research Foundation has already invested in the sector since 2002.

  • The investment will be used to conduct scientific studies, nurture local talent at the postgraduate level, and provide grants for research into the development of quantum computers and related equipment. As part of its national strategy, Singapore intends to build its own quantum processors to maintain global competitiveness.
