Sightful announced the launch of its productivity-focused AR laptop, the Spacetop G1, priced at USD 1,900. The company aims to ship the laptop to consumers in 2024, with reservations priced at USD 100.

The AR laptop offers a virtual 100-inch workspace with a 90 Hz refresh rate, replacing the typical 13-inch LCD laptop screen, designed for portability. It offers built-in AR glasses (weighing 80 g), utilizes a 70% faster Qualcomm chip than its predecessor, and has seven hours of battery life. 

The product also focuses on spatial AI features. Its neural processing unit (NPU) can process 48 trillion operations per second, an improvement over its predecessor's 45 trillion operations per second. 

Analyst QuickTake: Sightful initially announced its Spacetop AR laptop at USD 2,150 in January 2024 , alongside several updates since its early access launch last year. The Spacetop G1 is seemingly a replacement to the initial laptop announced, with the company having raised USD 33 million in a funding round as it emerged from stealth in May 2023 .
