Bond Pet Foods, a precision fermentation company, has partnered with leading animal nutrition solutions provider Wilbur-Ellis Nutrition to create novel, animal-free ingredients for pet food products.

Using Bond's unique technology, the partnership aims to brew meat proteins, such as chicken, turkey, and fish, through precision fermentation instead of traditional animal rearing or fishing. Wilbur-Ellis plans to incorporate these proteins into pet food products, enhancing their nutritional value and overall benefits.

In February 2024 , Bond Pet Foods partnered with Hill's Pet Nutrition, a global pet food manufacturer, to develop precision-fermented sustainable pet food. Further, MicroHarvest and Calysta , two alternative ingredient producers, have formed partnerships recently to develop pet food products using novel ingredients.
