The key attributes of Custom Assistants involve customizable AI assistance for specific inquiries, eliminating the need for lengthy instruction. Users can select between OpenAI’s GPT-4o, Meta’s Llama 3, or Anthropic’s Claude 3 Opus.

To employ this service on You.com, the user must initiate it by creating a personalized instruction set for the assistant.

Analyst QuickTake: This would allow the company to compete with similar solutions offered by established competitors like OpenAI’s custom GPTs and custom copilots by Microsoft. On a separate note, the company launched “AI Modes ” earlier this year to include Smart, Genius, Create, and Research functionalities designed to offer varying levels of depth and sourcing to any queries. In November 2023, the company also released new features to include real-time web search and multilingual responses to its search engine.
