Allbirds launches Canvas Piper Sneaker incorporating bio-based components

Product updates

  • Allbirds, a listed sustainability-focused footwear and apparel company, has unveiled its latest sneaker, the "Canvas Piper." It incorporates bio-based components, is priced at USD 90, and is available for men and women.

  • The Canvas Piper is constructed from breathable organic cotton canvas, sugarcane-derived midsoles, and corn and tree fiber-based insoles. The sneakers also use shoelaces made from recycled material.

  • Analyst QuickTake: The company launched its first plant-based leather shoe in partnership with Natural Fiber Welding in September 2022 . More recently in March 2024 , the company finalized distribution agreements for Australasia and Japan from July 2024.
