Cisco partners with Nvidia to simplify AI adoption for Ethernet network-based enterprises

Partnerships

  • Cisco has partnered with Nvidia to develop the Nexus HyperFabric AI cluster solution, which was introduced at Cisco Live 2024. This solution is designed to simplify AI infrastructure deployment and management for enterprises using Ethernet networks.

  • The cloud-managed data center network combines Cisco's networking and Ethernet switching expertise with Nvidia's accelerated computing, AI software, and VAST data storage capabilities. It aims to provide a unified platform for designing, deploying, and optimizing AI workloads.

  • The Nexus HyperFabric solution includes cloud management capabilities, high-performance Ethernet switches, Nvidia AI software and hardware, and a modular server architecture. The solution is expected to be available by late 2024, with large-scale deployment planned for early 2025.

  • Analyst QuickTake : Nvidia has previously worked with various tech firms to enhance AI infrastructure. In earlier collaborations, Nvidia teamed up with Snowflake to support the creation of custom AI data applications using its technology. In May 2024, Nvidia partnered with Nutanix to streamline the enterprise adoption of GenAI and with Kyndryl to boost AI-driven insights and business outcomes.
