Google has introduced NotebookLM, a new AI-powered service to assist in note-taking and document analysis, to over 200 additional countries. This free service is designed to generate summaries and answer questions based on uploaded documents.
The key features of NotebookLM include support for 38 languages to aid global use, capacity for sourcing content from Google Slides and URLs beyond the existing Doc and PDF support, and the introduction of Notebook Guide for convenient content conversion. Google has also expanded the interface language support to 108 languages catering to a global audience.
Google claims that NotebookLM can aid employees, authors, students, and educators in their research and writing workflows. The company also states that it has been used to create newsletters, summarize transcripts, grant proposals, and more while ensuring data privacy.
