Pika raises USD 80 million to expand product offerings

Funding

  • Pika, a GenAI-based video creation platform, raised USD 80 million in a Series B funding round led by Spark Capital, with participation from Greycroft, Lightspeed, Neo, and Makers Fund. Notable individual investors include Jared Leto and Craig Kallman. The funding brings Pika's total valuation to USD 135 million.

  • The funds will enhance Pika's video creation technology, expand its product offerings, and hire new talent.

  • Analyst QuickTake: This news comes just seven months after the company raised USD 50 million to expand its Pika 1.0 platform. In March, it introduced a new feature allowing users to automatically generate sound effects for the videos created on its web platform, pika.art.
