Food Cycle secures undisclosed investment to support growth and expansion

Funding

  • Food Cycle Science Corporation (FCS), a Canadian company offering a system that converts food waste into soil nutrients, has secured undisclosed funding from Power Sustainable Lios Inc. (PSL), the agrifood investment division of Power Sustainable.

  • The funds will support FCS' growth ambitions in the Canadian and international markets, as well as undertake new product development and launches.

  • Launched in 2011, FCS provides the FoodCycler system, which turns food waste into a dry, odorless by-product while reducing methane emissions from degrading food in landfills. The company’s solutions can be deployed at domestic, commercial, and municipal scales. FCS reports it has shipped over 250,000 units of its waste solutions used in more than 20 countries.
