Wisk Aero, an eVTOL aircraft developer, has partnered with Houston Airports (HA) by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to undertake air taxi operations in Greater Houston. The collaboration supports the ongoing efforts to develop air transportation in Texas.
The partnership would involve Wisk and HA identifying and assessing possible locations to establish vertiport infrastructure at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, William P. Hobby Airport, and Ellington Airport.
Analyst QuickTake: Wisk Aero will make use of its sixth-generation autonomous aircraft, which can carry four passengers. The company launched test flights of its eVTOL aircraft in Los Angeles in October 2023 .
