Wisk Aero partners with Houston Airports to deliver autonomous air taxis to Greater Houston

Partnerships

  • Wisk Aero, an eVTOL aircraft developer, has partnered with Houston Airports (HA) by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to undertake air taxi operations in Greater Houston. The collaboration supports the ongoing efforts to develop air transportation in Texas.

  • The partnership would involve Wisk and HA identifying and assessing possible locations to establish vertiport infrastructure at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, William P. Hobby Airport, and Ellington Airport.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Wisk Aero will make use of its sixth-generation autonomous aircraft, which can carry four passengers. The company launched test flights of its eVTOL aircraft in Los Angeles in October 2023 .
