Wisk Aero partners with Airservices Australia to prepare for autonomous eVTOL aircraft operations

Partnerships

  • Wisk Aero, an eVTOL aircraft developer, has partnered with Airservices Australia, the country's air traffic control agency, to prepare for autonomous air taxi operations.

  • The partnership aims to develop plans for integrating remotely piloted eVTOL aircraft into Australian airspace. This collaboration will focus on addressing the challenges and requirements for launching autonomous air taxi services, with both organizations working together to ensure the safe and efficient integration of these new aircraft into existing air traffic management systems.

  • Analyst QuickTake: This partnership adds to Wisk Aero's progress in expanding its eVTOL services in Australia. In July 2024 , the company collaborated with the UK-based air taxi and drone company Skyports to develop vertiports in the South East Queensland (SEQ) region.
