The mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) app Moovit, a division of Intel, is laying off around 10% of its workforce across all departments, impacting 20–25 employees. This is the first round of layoffs at the company since Intel's acquisition in 2020.
The workforce reduction aims to concentrate on the company's core business and accelerate its transition to profitability. To realize its business strategy, the company plans to continue investing in expanding its solutions for private and business users in the mobility sector.
