Travertine Technologies, a carbon capture and industrial chemical startup, has raised USD 8.5 million in a venture funding round. The round was co-led by Holcim MAQER Ventures, with participation from the Grantham Foundation for the Protection of the Environment, Clean Energy Ventures, and Bidra Innovation Ventures.
The funds will be used to commercialize Travertine's technology and scale up for the first commercial demonstration plant. In addition, the company will benefit from access to Holcim's network of global operations and technical expertise in areas ranging from materials science to carbon capture.
