Samsara Eco, a plastic recycling startup, has successfully raised AUD 100 million (~USD 66.7 million) in a Series A extension round led by Temasek and Main Sequence. Wollemi Capital, lululemon, Hitachi Ventures, Titanium Ventures (previously Telstra Ventures), and DCVC participated in the investment.
The newly acquired funds will be utilized by Samsara Eco to expand its enzymatic recycling capabilities. The short-term plans include developing South-East Asian commercial facilities within the forthcoming years.
Analyst QuickTake: In November 2022 , Samsara Eco raised ~USD 34.7 million via a Series A round to support the construction of its commercial recycling facility in Melbourne. The company also launched a new R&D facility in New South Wales in September 2023 .
