XJet introduces 17-4PH stainless steel to product portfolio for shorter manufacturing time

  • XJet, an additive manufacturing solutions provider, has announced the addition of a new 17-4PH stainless steel material to its portfolio of AM material for its NanoParticle Jetting (NPJ) technology.

  • The material reportedly offers high hardness and tensile strength, allowing it to create complex structures for medical devices and surgical instruments, aerospace and defense, oil and gas filtration, and high-precision tooling and manufacturing.

  • The company claims that the solution reduces the time and labor costs associated with the manufacturing process due to minimal post-processing requirements.
