HP announced a range of new developments for its additive manufacturing (AM) portfolio of products at the 2024 “Rapid + TCT” convention. These include enhanced capabilities for the HP Metal Jet S100 and Jet Fusion 5600 series printers, a new on-demand metal jet-based AM service based in the US, updated software, and new strategic partnerships.
The enhancements to HP’s Metal Jet S100 printing solution will include increased build height and new materials, IndoMIM M2 Tool Steel, and Osprey 316L. Additionally, the Jet Fusion series will now be compatible with HP’s 3D High Reusability (HR) PA 12 W and HP 3D High Reusability (HR) PA 12 S materials. It will also offer an “ESD” print mode, enabling users to achieve dissipative properties on printed parts.
The company also expanded its HP 3D process development software capabilities with a new Multi-level build feature and entered strategic partnerships with Autodesk, Altair, CoreTechnologie, and Dyndrite to integrate design and production tools.
