Antora Energy, a long-duration energy storage startup, has been selected to receive up to USD 14.5 million in funding from the Department of Energy's Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E). This follows Antora's successful completion of its USD 150 million Series B funding round earlier this year, with support from investors including Decarbonization Partners, Trust Ventures, and Lowercarbon Capital.
The funds are expected to accelerate the commercialization of Antora's thermal battery product. The company plans to increase its manufacturing capacity for thermophotovoltaic (TPV) technology better to meet the needs of industrial and utility customers.
