Additive Industries introduces MetalFab 300 Flex for industrial metal 3D printing

Product updates

  • Additive Industries, a provider of on-demand additive manufacturing services, has launched a new 3D printer, MetalFab 300 Flex, which leverages powder bed fusion (PBF) technology for industrial metal 3D printing.

  • The system includes two full-field 500-watt lasers, a base build area of 11.81 x 11.81 x 15.75 in, which can expand to a size of 16.54 x 16.54 x 15.75 in on-demand, enabling flexible scaling according to the user needs. Priced at USD 730,000, the solution includes two 500 W lasers, field upgradeable to four lasers, and is available with a monthly or lifetime license

  • Analyst QuickTake: The AM industry has seen an introduction of several new solutions across the material and printer segments at the ongoing Rapid + TCT convention. Additive Industries joins the likes of Colibrium Additive, which launched Spectra M, an electron beam melting (EBM) system that offers a compact build envelope for medical and orthopedic implant manufacturers.
