Call2Recycle Canada (C2R), a Canadian e-bike and household battery recycling company, has introduced its "Recycle Your Batteries, Canada!" initiative in Nova Scotia.
The company expects to manage the province's household battery recycling program under the new Solid Waste-Resource Management Regulations of Nova Scotia, allowing residents to recycle a variety of used batteries, from single-use, rechargeable household batteries weighing less than 5 kilograms to batteries used in e-bikes and e-scooters.
Analyst QuickTake: In February 2024 , the company unveiled smart battery containers under the initiative that were due to be rolled out during that month. C2R also operates provincially-approved programs in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec, and Prince Edward Island.
