Call2Recycle launches battery recycling program in Nova Scotia

Geographic expansion

  • Call2Recycle Canada (C2R), a Canadian e-bike and household battery recycling company, has introduced its "Recycle Your Batteries, Canada!" initiative in Nova Scotia.

  • The company expects to manage the province's household battery recycling program under the new Solid Waste-Resource Management Regulations of Nova Scotia, allowing residents to recycle a variety of used batteries, from single-use, rechargeable household batteries weighing less than 5 kilograms to batteries used in e-bikes and e-scooters.

  • Analyst QuickTake: In February 2024 , the company unveiled smart battery containers under the initiative that were due to be rolled out during that month. C2R also operates provincially-approved programs in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec, and Prince Edward Island.
