Fingerprints partners with IN Groupe to launch secure component solution for biometric payment cards

  • Fingerprints Cards AB (FPC) has expanded its partnership with IN Groupe through its SPS brand, a provider of identity and digital services, to launch a secure component solution for contactless biometric payment cards.

  • The partnership will integrate Fingerprints’ second-generation T-Shape sensor module and software platform with SPS’ cards.

  • Analyst Quicktake : The company has entered numerous partnerships over the past few months. Last month, FPC partnered with Valid to develop a biometric payment card for the Brazilian market. Before that, it partnered with OVE to launch a prototype fingerprint sensor for biometric retail payments in May and with Thales to launch biometric payment cards in Turkey in March.
