Vanetta Food, a Spanish food technology startup, has raised EUR 400,000 (~USD 431,624) in funding. This comprised EUR 200,000 (~USD 215,812) in venture funding from business angel participants Galician, Emilio Froján, María Souto, Fernando Orejón, and other investors, a pre-approved loan of EUR 150,000 (~USD 161,821), and EUR 50,000 (~USD 53,940) from various grants from the Xunta de Galicia.
Vanetta intends to use the funding to consolidate its launch in the Spanish plant-based foods industry and to expand its product offerings at retail stores and online sales.
Vanetta Food, founded in 2023, specializes in innovative food technology producing sustainable plant-based meat products. Its portfolio includes beef and pork alternatives such as plant-based loin and cachoppo, made in its Galicia facility.
