Sylvera, a UK-based company providing carbon offset ratings, has partnered with CDR.fyi, a platform that provides data on engineered and hybrid carbon dioxide removal (CDR) projects.

The partnership will allow Sylvera to access CDR.fyi's engineered carbon removal dataset, improving data visibility and accessibility for investors to better understand the effectiveness and impact of CDR solutions such as direct air capture (DAC), biomass removal, and biochar. 

By integrating CDR.fyi's data on hundreds of CDR providers into Sylvera's platform, investors can gain transparency into project performance, enabling them to direct funding to the most effective technologies that contribute to carbon avoidance and removal, and bring them to scale faster.

Analyst QuickTake: In May 2024 , the company launched a new tool on its platform to improve the facilitation and comparability of carbon projects. Sylvera's new service consisted of two main features: 1) Project Catalog aggregates data from nine registries covering approximately 20,000 projects across the carbon market and 2) screening provides a comprehensive overview of the key metrics that indicate project quality and associated risks.
