Quorn, a UK-based developer of fermentation-based alternative meats owned by Monde Nissin, has partnered with the UK's National Health Service (NHS) to introduce hybrid meat products made from a blend of traditional meat and Quorn's fungi-based mycoprotein.
This partnership aims to reduce menu items' carbon footprint, saturated fat, and cholesterol content while adding fiber. Manufactured by Quorn’s catering partners, these hybrid products are expected to be on menus by the end of 2024, replacing meat-only items fully.
