GoJoe, a provider of a health and fitness employee experience app, has raised GBP 2.8 million (USD 3.6 million) in a funding round led by Venrex Partners, along with participation from other venture capital firms and angel investors, including Olympian Alistair Brownlee MBE and footballer Michael Carrick. This brings the total funds raised by the company to GBP 3.6 million (USD 4.6 million).
The funding will be used to help GoJoe expand its resources to support its growth and widen its reach in supporting businesses with health and fitness challenges faced in modern workplaces.
Based in the UK, GoJoe is a health and fitness app provider. GoJoe's app uses gamification, social accountability features like virtual team challenges, activity tracking across 50 activities, and celebrity fitness content to motivate users toward better physical, mental, and social health. The app, which was developed in collaboration with Stanford University, targets both individual users and corporate clients, offering customizable fitness challenges and experiences across 150 countries.
