Blue Yonder introduces new supply chain planning and execution capabilities

Product updates

  • Blue Yonder has launched new planning and execution capabilities for its enterprise supply chain platform and industry-specific offerings. These new offerings aim to provide organizations with deeper insights to cut costs, improve return on investment, and maximize operational efficiency.

  • The enhancements include cognitive merchandise financial planning for retailers, fulfillment sourcing simulator for omnichannel leaders, cognitive demand planning for streamlined inventory management, yard management automation, robotics integration for warehouse operations, and returns management for optimizing the retail experience. These features leverage AI, machine learning, and data analysis to optimize supply chain processes.

  • Blue Yonder claims these new products will enable organizations to forecast demand and supply better, improve inventory utilization, and quickly resolve warehouse and yard operations inefficiencies that could delay deliveries.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Besides in-house developments, Blue Yonder has been focusing on acquisitions to strengthen its product offerings. In March 2024, the company acquired One Network Enterprises to leverage One Network's capabilities to establish itself as a leading supply chain solutions provider. In February 2024, the company also acquired flexis AG to enhance its supply chain management solutions by offering new capabilities for advanced, sales, operations, and transportation planning and scheduling.
