AI chiplet startup DreamBig Semiconductor raised USD 75 million in a Series B funding round co-led by Samsung Catalyst Fund and the Sutardja Family, with participation from new investors like Hanwha, Event Horizon, Raptor, and existing backers such as UMC Capital, BRV, Ignite Innovation Fund, and Grandfull Fund.
The funds will accelerate the development and commercialization of DreamBig's chipset platform and its Chiplet Hub product, which enables customers to build high-performance AI chips using modular chipset design.
DreamBig's MARS chiplet platform aims to solve scaling challenges in AI servers and accelerators by providing direct access to different memory tiers like static RAM, dynamic RAM, and 3D high-bandwidth memory. The platform allows customers to create customized chips for GenAI, automotive, and Edge computing applications.
Analyst QuickTake: GenAI hardware infrastructure providers have seen increased investor interest recently, given heavy enterprise demand to scale AI workloads.
