  • Ingredion Incorporated, a leading provider of specialty ingredient solutions, has launched VITESSENCE Pea 100 HD, a pea protein designed to enhance the texture and taste of cold-pressed bars in the US and Canadian markets. It allows these bars to maintain softness throughout their shelf life, offering preferred sensory attributes and nutritional benefits.

  • VITESSENCE Pea 100 HD claims to reduce chalkiness while maintaining a soft texture, neutral taste, and reduced sugar content. It provides at least 84% protein on a dry basis, minimizes bitterness, and offers a cleaner-label product. Furthermore, this ingredient reportedly uses less water and has a lower carbon footprint than traditional protein sources like whey isolate.
