Lilium, a Nasdaq-listed eVTOL jet developer, announced that its delivery schedule for the first customer deliveries of its Lilium Jet is set for 2026 as planned. Lilium also announced that the first piloted flight of its "Lilium Jet MSN 2" is now scheduled for early 2025.
Lilium is reportedly assembling the first two of its electric jets, the Lilium Jet MSN 1, which will undergo ground testing once completed. The company's second jet is being readied for its pilot test flight in 2025. The production of a third aircraft is planned to start later in 2024.
Lilium extended its partnership with FlightSafety International in May 2023 to develop an engineering simulator by early 2025 to aid the type certification process. Lilium also works closely with the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA) to develop a flight crew training simulator.
Analyst QuickTake: Following its electric propulsion unit production in February 2024 , Lilium concluded the first tests of its electric jet propulsion unit with the engines taken up to maximum thrust in June 2024 . Lilium has also partnered with Shenzhen-based Bao'an District , eVolare , UrbanLink , Star Charge , and AJW Group in 2024 as its ongoing efforts to expand to China, the UK, the US, Singapore, and other countries globally.
