Riverside.fm, a podcast production platform, has raised USD 9.5 million in a new Series A funding round led by new investor Seven Seven Six and with participation from several other new investors including Zeev Ventures and Elad Gil. This round brings the company’s total funding up to USD 12 million.
The funds are to be utilized to expand the team and develop more features on the platform.
The company is also rolling out multiple updates to its platform, including Riverside.fm’s new iPhone app, which allows the user to record videos and upload instantly. The desktop platform will also have new features, 1) “Magic Editor”, which merges the recording, editing, and uploading processes; 2) “Smart Speakerview”, which switches automatically between speakers for video editing so that accidental noises such as coughing and sneezing are not captured.
Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Israel, Riverside.fm emerged from stealth in November 2020 as a platform that offers podcast production with cross-platform analytics. The platform claims to be the only one that allows recording lossless audio and 4K video tracks in studio quality, independent of internet connection speeds. The platform enables the podcaster to record the audio and video as separate tracks, later integrating both to be in sync. The company has landed big-name clients such as Hillary Clinton, Spotify, Bloomberg, and BBC.
