Kodiak Robotics partners with Atlas Energy Solutions to equip high-capacity trucks with autonomous technology

Partnerships

  • Kodiak Robotics, a manufacturer of autonomous trucks, has partnered with Atlas Energy Solutions, a proppant producer and logistics provider, to equip Atlas' new high-capacity trucks with Kodiak's autonomous driving technology, “Kodiak Driver.”

  • Under the partnership, Kodiak plans to provide Atlas with its autonomous driving technology under a driver-as-a-service model. The vehicles will be deployed for frac sand deliveries across the Permian Basin in West Texas.

  • The companies have already conducted an initial driverless delivery of frac sand from an Atlas depot to a wellsite, with plans to launch commercial operations of the first two autonomous trucks early next year. Under the partnership, Kodiak also will provide operational support services such as remote monitoring of trucks.
