Classiq launches first high-level language for quantum programming 'Qmod'

Product updates

  • Quantum software company Classiq Technologies has announced the general availability of Qmod (Quantum Modeling Language), the first high-level language for quantum coding. Qmod is now accessible to developers, researchers, and enterprises worldwide, aiming to transform quantum computing with an efficient and approachable programming method.

  • Qmod enables advanced quantum modeling by allowing developers to describe quantum algorithms at a high level of abstraction. It features declarative programming, letting users define what their algorithm should achieve rather than how to achieve it. It also offers flexibility and interoperability supporting native syntax, Python, and graphical representation, and is designed to be industry-ready for scalable quantum software development.

  • The company claims Qmod will democratize quantum programming by enabling quantum experts and developers without a quantum background to create sophisticated programs. It simplifies quantum programming by reducing code complexity, potentially using five lines of code instead of the traditional 100 lines, and ensures seamless compilation for various hardware and simulation environments.
