ZeroAvia, a hydrogen-based aviation solutions developer, has signed a conditional purchase agreement with ASL Aviation Holdings, an aviation services provider, for up to 20 hydrogen-electric engines.
The agreement involves a firm order of 10 engines, with an option for 10 more, and related retrofit services. These engines will be retrofitted into ASL's operated fleet of ATR regional turboprop aircraft, creating some of the world's first zero-emission freight aircraft of this scale.
This order builds upon an earlier partnership between the two companies from November 2021 and further expands ZeroAvia's sold delivery slots.
