Firefly Aerospace, an American aerospace company, has signed a new multi-launch agreement with L3Harris Technologies, a global aerospace and defense technology company, for 20 launches aboard Firefly's Alpha rocket.
The agreement includes two to four missions per year from 2027 to 2031, with the Alpha rocket deploying the L3Harris spacecraft into low-Earth orbit from Firefly's SLC-2 launch site at the Vandenberg Space Force Base.
Analyst QuickTake: Firefly Aerospace first partnered with L3Harris in September 2023 to launch three missions on the Alpha rocket in 2026. The missions will carry satellites designed and built by L3Harris under a USD 225 million contract from the US Government.
