ChargePoint launches Omni Port, an adaptable EV charging solution

Product updates

  • ChargePoint, an NYSE-listed EV charging solutions provider, has introduced Omni Port, an adaptable charging solution that combines multiple connector types into one charging port. The solution is designed for Tesla and non-Tesla drivers and will be available as a standard feature on applicable ChargePoint chargers at no additional cost.

  • Omni Port combines the most common connector types into each charging port, supporting AC and DC charging. It allows drivers to charge their vehicles without adapters by entering their vehicle's make and model in the ChargePoint app or selecting the correct connector on the charger screen.

  • ChargePoint claims that Omni Port eliminates connector confusion, negates the need for dedicated parking spaces for specific connector types, and ensures public charging ports are future-ready.
