Hooked Foods launches new vegan seafood and chicken products

Product updates

  • Hooked Foods, a Swedish plant-based food startup, has expanded its product portfolio with new vegan seafood options and plant-based chicken products. The new products will be available in Sweden's two largest retail chains, ICA Gruppen and Coop Sverige, starting October 2024.

  • The new lineup includes Veggie Bites Original (chicken-inspired protein-packed bites), Veggie Filet Original (plant-based chicken filet alternative), Veggie Bites Sea Flavor (tuna-inspired plant-based bites), and Veggie Bites Smoked (smoked salmon-inspired plant-based bites). Hooked Foods has also revamped its packaging design to improve transparency and highlight local sourcing and sustainability.

  • According to CEO Tom Johansson, the new products were created to meet specific demand from partner retailers and consumers. The company aims to replicate the taste, texture, and nutritional profile of traditional seafood and chicken, helping customers switch to plant-based alternatives.
