Xpeng AeroHT’s eVTOL car to launch in 2026 for USD 280,000

  • Xpeng AeroHT, a division of Xpeng Motors, an electric vehicle and smart car manufacturer, has announced that its eVTOL car, Land Aircraft Carrier, is scheduled for public manned test flights in September 2024 ahead of mass production and deliveries in 2026.

  • Xpeng AeroHT's X2 prototype completed its first flight test in March 2024, following which it received airworthiness certification from the Civil Aviation Administration of Central and Southern China (CAAC) in the same month.

  • The company reported that the Land Aircraft Carrier, called Per Deli, will cost RMB 2 million (~USD 280,000).

  • Analyst QuickTake: In August 2024 , the company raised USD 150 million for the development of its eVTOL car and announced starting the construction of its new manufacturing facilities in Guangzhou.
