CarbiCrete, a Canadian developer of low-cost building solutions using CO2, has signed a licensing agreement with Canal Block, a masonry manufacturer.
The partnership will allow Canal Block to begin producing CarbiCrete’s cement-free products in early 2025, once its plant is equipped with CarbiCrete's curing system.
This collaboration allows CarbiCrete to bring its cement-free concrete technology to Ontario and expand its geographical footprint.
Analyst QuickTake: In January 2024 , the company partnered with Canal Block, to integrate its cement-free technology into the latter’s manufacturing process in Ontario. The collaboration was supported by a USD 3 million contribution from NGen, a Canadian advanced manufacturing innovation group, to support the design, build, and installation of CarbiCrete's curing equipment at Canal Block's facility.
