24M Technologies (24M), a developer of semi-solid lithium-ion batteries, has announced a new manufacturing and R&D facility in Rayong, Thailand. The 71,000 sq ft facility can produce up to 100 MWh of 24M SemiSolid battery cells.
The new facility aims to accelerate the commercialization of 24M’s suite of battery technologies and enable closer collaboration with global partners. It will provide a platform to demonstrate the commercial capabilities and innovations within 24M’s battery technology portfolio, including safety, cost, range, and recycling advantages.
The company has already begun pilot production for a leading India-based mobility OEM at the Rayong plant and will deliver initial validation samples this fall. The facility will also develop and demonstrate various 24M technologies, including 24M SemiSolid and 24M LiForever, 24M Impervio, Unit Cell, 24M ETOP, and Lithium Metal batteries.
