Mojo Vision, a maker of tiny micro-LED screens, has partnered with CY Vision to develop next-generation car heads-up displays (HUDs). These HUDs will incorporate AR and use AI and 3D imaging to give drivers an immersive experience.
The HUDs will use micro-LED technology to create line-of-sight overlays that promote driver safety and provide essential information. They will offer the largest field of view, high-resolution images with 3D and AR capabilities, and up to 20x–50x more light efficiency than conventional systems.
The companies state that these HUDs will help keep drivers' eyes on the road, potentially reducing accidents caused by distracted driving. The micro-LED technology is also expected to be more energy-efficient and cost-effective, allowing easier integration into various car designs.
Analyst QuickTake : The partnership expands Mojo Vision’s microLED use cases. The company previously utilized its displays for sports with partnerships with Adidas Running, Trailforks (cycling/hiking), Wearable X (yoga), Slopes (skiing), and 18Birdies (golf). However, the expansion puts the company into direct competition with established players ( Envisics and WayRay ).
