Gauzy to unveil AI-powered ADAS for commercial trucks at IAA Transportation 2024

Product updates

  • Gauzy Ltd., a light and vision control solutions company, plans to unveil its first AI-powered advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) for commercial trucks at IAA Transportation 2024 in Hannover, Germany.

  • The "Smart-Vision camera monitor system" consists of interior displays and high-definition cameras affixed to the exterior of commercial trucks to provide commercial truck operators with increased road visibility. It is also equipped with AI-powered self-learning and predictive capabilities. Features of Smart-Vision CMS include real-time notifications, adaptive maneuver lines on the system display to monitor the display between a vehicle and an obstacle, and backward panning functionality while a commercial truck is in reverse. The system includes collision avoidance/detection technologies, blind spot information systems, and a surveillance mode for added security. The system can reportedly be integrated with any commercial truck model or trailer.

  • Ford Trucks reportedly plans to integrate the Smart-Vision camera monitor system into a selection of its vehicles. The technology is also reportedly used in public buses and coaches in more than 80 cities worldwide.
