Slack launches AI agents and workflow builder to improve workflow efficiency

Product updates

  • Slack has announced new AI capabilities including Huddle summaries, a new workflow builder, and AI-powered agents called "Agentforce." Users with a paid plan can access these Slack AI features for an additional fee.

  • The new features include AI-powered agents that can answer simple questions and automate routine tasks like scheduling appointments. Slack is also introducing a new user interface for Agentforce and expanding its search capabilities to include files and images.

  • Slack claims these AI additions will help users find information faster, automate tasks, and improve overall workflow efficiency. The company plans to make most of these capabilities generally available by end 2024 or early 2025.
