RXO acquires Coyote Logistics from UPS for USD 1.025 billion

M&A

  • RXO, a provider of freight matching solutions, has completed its acquisition of Coyote Logistics, a truckload brokerage unit, from UPS for USD 1.025 billion. This acquisition makes RXO the third-largest North American-based provider of brokered transportation.

  • Established in 2006, Coyote Logistics brings 15,000 customers and approximately 97,000 carriers to RXO. The company has around 2,500 employees; its top verticals are food and beverage and transportation. Coyote reported annual revenue of USD 2.1 billion in 2014, the last full year before its sale to UPS in 2015.

  • RXO plans to integrate Coyote's people and technology into its business, focusing on enhanced service, solutions, innovation, and customer relationships.
