Bristol-based Immersive Labs raised USD 75 million in Series C funding in a round led by Insight Partners, with participation from Menlo Ventures, Citi Ventures, and Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
The funds will be used to develop a new Cyber Workforce Optimization platform. Using data insights, the platform will determine where skills are required and provide targeted, role-specific training to deliver expertise across the organization. It will also enable board-level metrics and benchmarking. Additionally, the funds will be funneled to expand the platform’s reach to the US, tapping into the increasing demand for cybersecurity in the wake of pandemic-driven remote working trends. The company plans to triple its headcount over the next two years (to more than 600 from the current 200) and expand operations to new regions across Asia-Pacific and Europe.
Founded in 2017 by James Hadley, Immersive Labs is the developer of a platform offering gamified cybersecurity skills training using real threat intelligence for organizational preparedness. The platform aims to provide training to employees across business functions instead of cybersecurity being the expertise of a few. The company reports growth of more than 100% YoY. Its customers span the financial services, healthcare, and government sectors and include HSBC, Vodafone, and the NHS.
