Rapid Fusion, the sister company of EVO 3D, a UK-based additive manufacturing solutions provider, has launched Apollo, a large-format robotic additive manufacturing system.
The system is designed for the rapid production of large parts and molds for manufacturers in the automotive, aerospace, and furniture industries.
Apollo uses pellet extrusion printing, including the PE320 Pellet Extruder, a specialized control system, and a Kuka robotic arm to allow users to print parts within a 2 m x 3 m x 3 m build volume. Priced at GBP 250,000, the company expects to earn more than GBP 4 million (USD 5.35 million) worth of sales in its first year. Notably, the company has entered into international reseller agreements with CNC World in the UK, Hyperion in Australia, Maptec in Dubai, and ACCUFACTURE in the US.
