NVIDIA has acquired OctoAI, a company that provides tools for building and running GenAI models efficiently, for a potential total of up to USD 250 million, including incentives.
OctoAI, formerly OctoML, offers a complete tech stack for serving GenAI models. The platform integrates with various hardware and software companies, including established companies like AWS and Google.
Through this acquisition, NVIDIA aims to expand its efforts in machine learning compilers and cloud infrastructure for AI. OctoAI's CEO and co-founder, Luis Ceze, will join NVIDIA to contribute to these initiatives.
